Scott Joye has been practicing law since 1996. Upon graduating from the University of South Carolina School of Law, Mr. Joye worked as a law clerk for the late Honorable Sydney T, Floyd, assisting Judge Floyd in the administration of his duties. Mr. Joye was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1996 and began practicing law as an Assistant Solicitor in the Fourteenth Circuit Solicitor's Office. He was responsible for the prosecution of all types of major criminal cases in the Court of General Sessions. In 1998 Mr. Joye entered private practice in his own firm, R. Scott Joye, P. A. Ten years later that practice has evolved into Joye, Nappier and Risher, LLC.

Scott Joye is licensed to practice law in South Carolina and has handled Federal cases in Virginia and Ohio. He has concentrated the majority of his practice in the area of State and Federal Criminal matters. In addition, Mr. Joye handles personal injury cases, as well as wrongful death cases.
